Dr. Mok is a qualified Barrister in Australia and has been practicing as a solicitor in England and Hong Kong since the year 1983. Prior to his admission as a solicitor in England, he worked for Messrs. Deacons in Hong Kong as an Executive taking managerial charge of the whole Company and Secretarial Department and thereafter, in England, as a management consultant and then as trainee solicitor in Messrs. Howard Kennedy and Rossi, a famous law firm in London before joining Messrs. Johnson Stokes & Master (now Mayer Brown JSM) in Hong Kong looking after their Yuen Long Law Office until the year 1986. Without the benefit of university education when he was young, Dr. Mok passed all very difficult professional/public examinations with flying colours by self-study. However, after he has qualified as an Accountant, Chartered Secretary, Barrister & Solicitor, he decided to obtain the highest academic degree from a reputable university and after studying hard during his leisure time, Dr. Mok successfully acquired the degrees of MBA and PhD with distinctions on all subjects. His doctoral research paper is on “Corporate Governance in Hong Kong” which has enlarged “Corporate Language” and yielded useful methodological findings with meaningful results. Dr. Mok holds several public appointments, e.g. as Hon. Judge and Racing Steward of Hong Kong Jockey Club etc. and chairmanship/directorship of many companies and is the principal consultant to GM International Management Consultants Ltd., and, being a Wine Consultant, also to Global Vintage Wines Centre Group etc. ***************************************** Miss M.S.W. Lau is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales, Law Society of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators. She was educated in the U.S.A and England and obtained her first degree in Accounting but qualified as a lawyer thereafter. Miss Lau worked for a few famous law firms in Hong Kong, specializing in conveyancing, property and probate matters, before joining this firm as a partner in the year 1987. Miss Lau also holds directorship of several companies in Hong Kong and abroad.
